About Me

Independent Mechanical.jpg

At a young age I was taught to dedicate some time to trying to fix something before replacing it.  My grandfather was good at teaching me with all his tinkering with motors and electrical components.  Then my father was excellent with auto mechanics and a plumber by trade. I'd rebuild friends bikes, or take an old moped that wasn’t working clean it and repair it to new. It followed me through high school as I’d rebuild and resell cars I’d fix up.

When I was attending college for my Engineering degree I got a job working with a well known HVAC company in Brick. It was here that I knew what I wanted to do.  I enjoyed learning (by the best in the trade as my mentor, might I add) about all the equipment and machinery and developed a passion for REPAIR service.  It’s not the installation of things I enjoy, but how they work. I enjoy diving into a challenge and every day was a new challenge.

Over the years, my skills were defined moving from residential and commercial HVACR work into Industrial mechanical contracting.  I never wanted to own my own business but during the last recession when work was scarce and I had a family of my own, I needed to make a move.  Independent Mechanical LLC was formed.  Our only advertising is through word of mouth.

I like my company small becasue I have a family and my time with them is precious.  I just want to make a living, and a difference.  I cant tell you how many times I’ve been called to come give a second opinion on something that had been “condemned”.  It’s only because of a natural skill, and years of experience that I can sometimes fix what was said to be “done”.  I know if you’re in business you know how hard it is to find good employees.  Imagine how hard it must be to find SKILLED service technicians.

It will be me who answers your calls and texts, and it will be me to comes to your establishment for installations or repairs.  This allows us to keep our customers costs down, keep them happy and keep them in BUSINESS.  Being raised and educated in Brick, and now with a family of my own in Brick, I want to preserve what makes this community so great.  The mom and pops are who we want to work with.

Over the years corporate, Big Box stores and chain after chain restaurants have come and gone.  We travel within Monmouth and Ocean counties focusing on commercial refrigeration service.

We are fully insured and bonded.  We carry a Home Improvement Contractors License and a State of NJ Masters HVAC & Refrigeration License.  We continue our education and frequently attend seminars and training classes to keep up with the latest technology. We take actual pride in our work. That’s how we’ve been successful in business that last decade – our work speaking for itself.  Our customers and their praise and compliments, reaches our next customer – and so on and so on.
